Controversy and Criticism

Sri Vyasaraja Seva Samiti, a registered body has levelled several allegations of corruption, malpractice and nepotism against the three last pontiffs of the Vyasaraja Matha.

The present presiding pontiff Śrī Vidyamanohara Tīrtha was arrested on a cheque bounce case by Andhra Pradesh Police. The seer was arrested based on a private complaint in a Kadapa court relating to a cheque bounce case. After recording his attendance, the magistrate released him on conditional bail.
