, is in the area of Sokolske Planine of Podrinjska. This area is also named Podrinjska Crna Gora, because its mountainous region is a lot like Crna Gora (Montenegro) and it is said this is how Vuk got his lastname of Crnogorac.

Since Vuk Crnogorac was a leader, he held the title of Vojvoda. Vojvoda Vuk Crnograc also held the rank of eagle (orle) in the Serbian Army.

  • Milija Crnogorac (1348-???)
  • Pavle Orlovic (1350–1389)
  • Martin Orlovic (???-1389)


Both Pavle and Martin got their lastname Orlovic, after the rank of Orle their father had.

According to Serbian legend, Vuk Crnogorac was the great-grandson of King Radoslav Nemanjic and was the only one in the family that anybody trusted with military issues.
