Interface

The VideoPad interface consists of a menu bar across the top of the window that have drop down menus under the headings, File, Edit and Help, under which you can alter the settings, and save the projects that you are working on. Underneath this menu bar are large icons to Add Media, Capture, Insert Blank, Narrate, Subtitles, Preview, Save Movie, Options, Buy Online (Limited to the trial version), and Help.

There is a section underneath and to the left with Media List, Effects, Transitions, and Overlay tabs. The Media List tab allows a user to select a media that has been imported and view it from here it can be added to the timeline/storyboard below via a simple 'Add' Button simulated by a green arrow pointing downwards and also via a 'drag and drop' feature. To the right of this section there is an area for playback from the timeline. Beneath these is the area where clips can be rearranged, transitions can be added and effects effected. There is also two soundtracks available for use where you just drag your audio file over the soundtrack line to add it.
