Upstream Print Solutions has revenues of almost $100 million and services over 3,500 customers across the country. For its customers, Upstream manages all print, copy, scanning and fax needs and takes care of businesses equipment, purchasing, finance, installation, training, paper, toner supplies and ongoing service.

History

The Upstream Group was formed in 1995 and was made up of a group of companies with the goal to reduce the cost and complexity of document output management.

Several of these companies—including Upstream Technology and Print Solutions Australia—merged in 2007 to become Upstream Print Solutions.

In July 2010 Upstream was acquired by Fuji Xerox

Australia but maintains its independence in the Australian market.

Neil Tilley, Chief Executive Officer

Neil Tilley has 24 years of experience in the office automation and IT industries. Innovations introduced under his leadership include the Boomerang, the first remanufactured toner cartridge products in Australia, and an Australian-designed and manufactured laser printing technology.

Operations

Upstream currently has three offices locations across Australia. These include: Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The business currently has 300 staff.

Upstream is a vendor neutral company and provides customers with equipment from a range of brands.

Upstream audits businesses to examine printing habits, existing machines and inefficiencies in business processes. Once an audit is conducted Upstream makes a recommendation on the number of machines and types of machines that are needed to improve efficiency and lower costs.
