Located in the heart of the Carolina Sea Islands, the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is a senior institution of the University of South Carolina system serving the southeast coast of Georgia and South Carolina. USCB has been the fastest growing baccalaureate institution in the USC system since becoming a four year university in 2004.The university has two campuses which serve a diverse student body of more than 1750 students. The Historic Beaufort campus, located on Beaufort’s downtown waterfront, houses a baccalaureate Studio Art program in close proximity to Beaufort’s many art galleries. The Hilton Head Gateway campus in Bluffton, S.C., offers Computational Science and Nursing laboratories and is the home to Sand Shark athletics.

The Office of Student Life implements and provides support for a wide range of co-curricular activities and programs for the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) student body including: campus-wide programming, multicultural programming, advisement of the Student Government Association and student organizations, fitness, recreation and intramural opportunities as well as community service initiatives on and off campus. The Office of Student Life also provides leadership opportunities for USCB students to complement their academic life and learning with hands-on learning experience within the campus and larger community. The Office of Student Life oversees the production of the university-wide Student Handbook and facilitates the new and transfer-student orientation in summer and winter for the fall and spring terms....

. The four apartment buildings are named after the surrounding counties: Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper. Students living in Palmetto Village are within walking distance from all campus buildings. Each apartment contains 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and living room. The apartment is fully furnished with a washer and dryer, microwave, refrigerator, beds, dining room set and living room set.
