Unimin sells its products to customers in a broad range of industries, including producers of ceramics, fiberglass, fiber-optics, glass, oil and gas, paint and coatings, quartz lighting, and semiconductors. It operates from facilities in the Americas and Australia. The company was founded by William J. Woods, Jr. in 1970.
