Unai Emery (born November 3, 1971 in Hondarribia, Guipúzcoa) is a Basque Spanish football manager, currently in charge of Valencia.

Coaching career
Emery has a way of taking smaller teams into higher divisions. While manager of Lorca Deportiva, his team were promoted the team to Segunda Division, and defeated La Liga club Malaga CF 5-2 in the Copa del Rey. The second season under Emery, Lorca finished fifth in the Segunda Division, with 69 points. Emery then moved to Almeria UD, and again in his first season the team were promoted to La Liga. In La Liga, Almeria had an excellent season and Emery was snapped up by Valencia as a replacement for Ronald Koeman.
