Umeå Central Station is a railway station in Umeå

The station was designed by architect Folke Zettervall and built between 1895-96. In 2001, it was declared a byggnadsminne. Redevelopment of the area began in July 2010. The station will be closed from 7 August 2010 to 1 June 2011 and in the meantime the passenger traffic are moved to the new Umeå East Station
. It is expected to be completed in autumn 2012.
