Musical career

Tyler Burkum was hired by Christian band, Audio Adrenaline, as the lead guitarist in 1997 at only 17 years old. Tyler was working as a dishwasher and auditioned for Audio Adrenaline after a family friend recommended him to the band. Tyler had not even heard of the band before, but he soon joined Audio Adrenaline on their summer tour. With his new sound added to the band, they released the extremely successful Some Kind of Zombie

. Two years later, they released Underdog, which became one of their biggest hits. Burkum took on more and more roles within the band, including singing and songwriting. Throughout his time with Audio Adrenaline, Tyler also found time to write, record and tour with several other bands.
