Turk (sometimes "Young Turk" or "Lil Turk"), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana
. He is best known for his time with Cash Money Records
and with the Hot Boys
. His debut album Young & Thuggin'
became a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200
and pushed his album to Gold sales in the United States. After the Split of the Hot Boys in 2002 he signed a multi million dollar deal with producer Ke'Noe at Laboratory Recordz and released 2 albums Raw and Uncut and Penitentiary Chances but while incarcerated Ke'Noe released 2 other albums of unreleased or recycled Turk verses called Still A Hot Boy and Convicted Felons the albums profits of the last two releases were put on Turk's prison books. He is rumored to have been signed back with Birdman and Cash Money but he has recently shown the release of his own label YNT or Young N Thuggin Entertainment. He is supposed to release his new album Untamed Gorilla in late 2011.
