. The park features hiking, biking, and equestrian trails as well as picnicking, camping, cabins, flat-water canoeing, hunting, a disc golf course, and a recycled-tire playground for children.

The quiet, rural nature of the park was threatened in 2009 by a proposed military training facility nearby, but plans for it were scrapped in 2010.
