, the national railroad passenger system. Trinidad station was originally built by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, however it was not built in the Spanish Mission style, as many former Santa Fe Railroad stations were.

Of the nine Colorado stations served by Amtrak, Trinidad was the sixth busiest in FY10, boarding or detraining an average of 11 passengers daily.
