Tradeshift is a web based

 business network founded by Christian Lanng, Mikkel Hippe Brun and Gert Sylvest. The network was launched in May 2010, and used in more than 150 countries by February 2011. The project has gained media attention in online magazines, including Wired and Financial Times.

Background

The founders all have a background from the Danish public sector, where they created the world's first large scale peer-to-peer infrastructure for e-business. A project that was nominated for the European e-gov award in 2009. The founders also had leading roles (Governing board member, Technical Director) in the European Commission project PEPPOL, which is aiming to enable cross-border electronic trade inside the European Union
