district. The inaugural festival occurred in April 2008. Events included bowling, interactive panel discussions, an anime show, a midday party off-site in the Haight-Ashbury district, and participants took in two nights of shows at a nearby club, the Boom-Boom Room.

A highlight from the 2008 conference was a late-night impassioned debate during the "Appetite for Nevermind" panel, followed by a visit to a neighborhood ATM to settle a wager that arose during the discussion.

Organizers are making plans for the 2012 event - Tomo2: No Jacket Required. Details are being meted out with a sponsor, and the event may be called "Carta Blanca Beer Presents Tomo2: No Jacket Required". A call for panel proposals is open through March 21, 2012.
