Tom Wright (Thomas M. Wright) is an actor, writer, director and producer, born 22 June 1983 in Melbourne, the eldest of three children.

He is the co-Founder and Director of The Black Lung Theatre and Whaling Firm.

As an actor, he featured as Thomas Bodenham in the film Van Diemen's Land

As a writer, designer and director, for The Black Lung Theatre and Whaling Firm in 2011 – I Feel Awful (Queensland Theatre Company), They Called Him Mr. Glamour (Belvoir St. Theatre) featuring and written by Gareth Davies, and Savages, a co-production with East Timorese companies Liurai Foer (King Bin) and Galaxie, to be created in East Timor and presented in 2012.

He is at work as director on The Plague Cycle, with author Declan Greene, a large scale installation piece, and a production with The Encircling Sea, to be presented in 2012.

He has featured in the short films Everything I See – Ari Wegner (2007), Songs In The Key of Death – Alex Bryant (2008), The Bloody Sweet Hit – Damien Walshe Howling (2009) and PAM – Nathan Phillips (2011). He also wrote and directed the short film Mistah Woodpile – featuring C.W Stoneking and Garry Mansfield (2006).

As a younger actor he featured in in a Disney Channel TV movie, Stepsister from Planet Weird (2000), playing Megan Larson's love interest, Cutter. The following year, he played the character Orion in Zenon: The Zequel (2001). He has also featured in numerous Television Series.
