Some of the bills she has sponsored include After School Youth Development, which provides for the creation of the Illinois Youth Development Council to oversee and support public funds invested in youth development, an amendment to Family Military Leave Act to include grandparents and children as employees who may request family military leave, and expanding the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program to provide relief to more low-income families in Illinois.

Family

Hutchinson and has been married to Paul–a Senior Systems Engineer–for 14 years. They have three children;Paul, Jr. age 14; Camryn, age 11; and Ryan, aged 9. The family lives in Olympia Fields, Illinois
