Todd Kim

Todd Kim is the first Solicitor General for the District of Columbia. He was appointed by Attorney General Robert J. Spagnoletti to be responsible for all of the District's appellate litigation before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior to becoming Solicitor General, Kim was an appellate attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and National Resources Division.

Mr. Kim graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School

Todd Kim was the first contestant on the ABC game show Who Wants to Be a Super Millionaire. The show was presented by Regis Philbin

and aired in February of 2004. Todd got to the 12th question, going for US$1,000,000. The question was, "Neurologists believe that the brain's medial ventral pre-frontal cortex is activated when doing what?". The four possible answers were, A:"Have a panic attack", B:"Remember a name", C:"Get a joke" or D:"Listen to music". The correct answer was revealed as C:"Get a joke" but Todd could not answer the question and left the game with US$500,000. At the start of the show Regis asked Todd if he could refer to him as "The Kimmer". Todd agreed and Regis did so numerous times throughout the game.
