 on Route 99. Each November it is inhabited by a group of hunters whom the locals have dubbed the "Thomasville Deer Slayers". It was reported that in November of 2010, a small, lightweight craft was seen maneuvering over several homes in Thomasville. In December, 2010, a small amount of foam which appeared to be wreckage from some type of craft, along with a small propeller type object were found near a fence row. While it appears this was likely the site of a crash, there was not enough evidence available to confirm such a finding. Adding to the mystery, the surrounding airports reported that no flight plans were filed that would place any known craft over the Thomasville, MO area on the day of the sightings.
