Doropoulos holds the record for the highest score in an Under 19 One Day International. Against England in 2003, he smashed 179 not out, which came off 155 balls, and included 21 fours and three sixes. .

Doropoulos was a substitute fielder for Australia in the 3rd Test against West Indies in 2009/10 and took a catch to get the 9th wicket.

In June 2011, after being dropped from Western Australia's squad, Doropoulos signed with South Australia.
