Production

All of Christopher Lee's dialog was dubbed by another actor. However, Lee has been on record for some time with the very willing offer to perform a re-dubbing himself, should an opportunity ever present itself.

Critics

Film critic Leonard Maltin cites this film as "Perhaps horror maestro Bava's best film, moody, beautiful and deceptively simple."

Release

Alternate titles include The Way of the Body and Son of Satan. A shorter version entitled What!? was released in the United States.
