 and named a Newbery Honor book. It is about a 13 year old orphan named Sophie who is the only girl amongst a crew of men on a journey to find her destiny in the sea and with her grandpa, Bompie. The story is told from her point of view and also from her cousin Cody's. Through the journey, Sophie learns to accept who she is.
