This shift is characterized by the incorporation of metalcore elements such as breakdowns, clean singing vocals and keyboard accompaniment, as well as less of an emphasis on the time signature changes and polyrhythmic elements. It was the last album to feature guitarist Alex Auburn and bassist Eric Langlois respectively.
