Plot

Set in 1963, the book follows three 16 year olds on an idle summer day. The narrator Dwight and his two best friends Slim, a tomboy female, and Rusty, an overweight best pal, find signs for an exotic Vampire Show. Laymon weaves a tale part horror, part coming of age in one of his better reviewed works.
