Their debut EP Every Trick's A Good One had six songs Last Breath, Letters Faded, January, List, Chicago and The Sleep Inside. The album was produced by Russ-T Cobb. The band has won a Grand Prize award in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest

The band's first full length came out in 2009. Titled "Hotel Rooms and Heart Attacks" it was produced by Ted Niceley, Matt Goldman and Jeff Tomei. It was mixed by Eli Janney

It also has a cover painting by Dennis Campay, like the first EP does.

The Swear's songs have appeared on FX's Rescue Me, The WB's Smallville, The WB's Roswell Season One DVD, FOX's Reunion, TNT's Wanted, ABC's "Life As We Know It", The Discovery Channel's Outward Bound, The N's "Beyond the Break" and many MTV programs. They were recently on two episodes of MTV's "Jersey Shore."
