R.O.C.K.
R.O.C.K. is a 1986 hard rock/heavy metal album by Kirka. A major departure from Kirka's typical easy listening albums, the album featured English language lyrics, written by Kassu Halonen, and was largely hard rock oriented. Although Kirka had done covers by rock artists in the past, R.O.C.K...

 album, the songs were all in English with a distinct hard rock sound, however, losing some of the aggressiveness of the first album. The album also didn't feature covers by other rock acts.

Despite selling well (receiving Gold certification in Finland) Kirka later resumed with his easy listening

 material, mainly because performing for younger audiences wasn't providing enough revenue for him to make a living for himself. It would also be Kirka's final all English album until 1995's Sadness in your Eyes, which was musically more close to Kirka's romantic and easy listening material.

All songs were written and composed by Kisu Jernström and Kassu Halonen, except for One Day, No Return and Dont Steal My Heart which were written by Edu Kettunen, Erkka Kettunen and Esa Kaartamo respectively.

The songs I Don't Wanna Fight and Under The Pressure Of Your Love from the later Sadness in your Eyes album are featured on the 2007 CD re-issue.
