The show was criticised at the time for including animals performing questionable performances. The first episode featuring Blackwood betting on illegal mouse racing, whereas episode 4 included a test into which kind of dog gave the owner the maximum "street presence" through a series of tests with hidden cameras and trying to encourage pensioners to drop shopping bags.
