Characters

  • The Pirate Captain is vain, self-deluded and mostly incompetent as a pirate and as a sea captain, but he's ultimately kind-hearted and very much respected by his crew. He doesn't appear to possess any of the stereotypical pirate accoutrements, though he dresses in the traditional manner, and much is made of his luxuriant beard. He is said to have a "pleasant, open face", though he is quite successful at terrifying non-pirates.
  • Black Bellamy, the Pirate Captain's cunning and black-hearted arch nemesis.
  • Peg-Leg Hastings
  • Hook-for-a-hand pirate
  • The pirate with a scarf is reliable, loyal, and he has a scarf.
  • The pirate with gout
  • The pirate in green is an everyman. He is also quite tidy.
  • The albino pirate's main characteristic is being pale. But he is also very enthusiastic. The albino pirate uses more exclamation marks than any of the other pirates.
  • The pirate in red is quite surly. He is also a bit of a show-off.
  • The surprisingly curvaceous pirate
  • The pirate who likes kittens and sunsets
  • The burly pirate
  • The pirate with an accordion
  • Jennifer, a sensible Victorian Lady who becomes an invaluable member of the crew.
