Zach and Summer talk about Seth and Reed when Seth comes up to apologize. He brings a pink daisy and a ticket to the Death Cab for Cutie concert when Zach tells him he has to go to Reed's house to go over the graphic novel. Seth immediately rejects to hang out with Summer but Zach insists and seth gives in only angering Summer.

Marissa joins in Ryan's plan to help Trey; Marissa pins the action on a guy in the water polo team who happens to know Jess.
Erin leaves a message for Carter saying that it isn't a good idea for them to see each other leaving Carter alone for the Santa Barbara trip. Marissa talks to Jess who says she can hook her up at the Death Cab concert that night; Marissa and Ryan's plans are in action.

Seth and Zach meet up with Reed and a marketing agent named Damien who criticises a lot of aspects of Seth's graphic novel in which seth thinks to be important. Reed tells the two that the following night they're going to have a party in which Seth has to bring Summer. Throughout Zach seems excited for every bit.

Caleb returns home to see Julie in lingerie and laying on her bed in rose petals. Caleb seems disgusted. When Julie goes to Lance's motel room to tell him not to kill Caleb and make him leave Newport, they part ways and kiss. Someone takes pictures of Julie.

Marissa finds Jess in the club and Jess tells her that the following night at the waterpolo teams party the dealer will be there. Sandy talks to Kirsten at their room about Trey's bad position. It turned out that Trey had already known Jess and that Trey's prosecutor is a family man who would rather not see a supposed drug dealer in Newport. Sandy then sees a brochure for Santa Barbara and insists that Kirsten go since she's not entirely needed at home.

Ryan tries to make small talk with the guy from the waterpolo team which fails. He attempts to talk about Marissa's party when he ditches ryan to go and talk to a suspicious man. Seth then joins in with Ryan but they ended up losing them in the chase.

Seth, Zach, and Summer are at the debuting party for Seth. Zach and Reed pressure Seth to go and talk to a major comic book name leaving summer alone with zach. Ryan, Marissa, and Trey tell Sandy of the prospective drug dealer catch. The three then go to the party to catch the guy but the bouncer won't let Ryan in.

After Ryan and Marissa catch the drug dealer, Trey is found innocent, and he gives Sandy the "thank-you stare". Ryan and Marissa take Trey back home. When Trey leaves, Ryan and Marissa look at each other and kiss for the first time in a while.

Jess is found in Trey's room. Jess says they have a lot to talk about. Trey says he's definitely interested.
