The Naughtiest Girl Keeps a Secret is about Elizabeth's struggle to keep friend John's secret about planning to win a local gardening competition. He is to have no help growing anything if he wants to enter. Even after John is taken ill and Elizabeth is accused unfairly of playing awful tricks on the mistresses, she still fights to keep the secret. She has to decide whether to break the rules and tend to John's plants or leave them to die.
