The LifeSkills Center for Leadership (LSCL) is a Minneapolis based 501(c)3 non-profit that provides leadership and personal development trainings and workshops for college students.

History

Founded in 2001 by 'Famous' David W. Anderson

 and his family, the LifeSkills Center for Leadership began its work of providing leadership and personal development programming to at-risk and underprivileged Native youth. After working with Native youth for seven years, LSCL changed its mission to providing leadership and personal development programming to students at colleges and universities in 2008. During this change of mission, LSCL's sister, for-profit, organization The LifeSkills Center for Business Leadership was formed to provide personal and professional development programming to companies and businesses.

Awards and recognition

In 2002, LSCL received recognition by Oprah Winfrey

In 2006, LSCL’s Executive Director, Brandon Johnson, was recognized as an Emerging Leader by the Twin Cities Business Monthly Magazine.
