The Jackie Boyz are an American multi-platinum singer/songwriter tandem that consists of two brothers, Carlos Battey (born August 2, 1981) and Steven Battey (born June 16, 1985). The Jackie Boyz were acquired by Universal Music Publishing as songwriters in 2009.

History

The Jackie Boyz were born and raised in Savannah, Georgia

 where they began their music careers at the pier on River Street performing for the local people in their hometown. Their inspiration and love for music was instilled in them by their mother Jackie, hence the name. The Jackie Boyz was created by the brothers to recognize and carry on the name of their beloved mother. Devastated by the death of their father in 2003, tragedy lurked right around the corner as their mother Jackie died the following year. The loss of their parents influenced and motivated Carlos and Steven to leave Savannah, Georgia

As Artists Jackie Boyz have released their second album in Japan titled “Love and Beyond”. As of September 2009, it has sold 10,000 units. The first single “Love & Beyond” topped the R&B charts at #4, featured on Clear Channel’s IHeart radio as the “up and comer” to watch. Recently in January 2011 Jackie Boyz released their first official mixtape called 585 Dayz Later, which amassed over 20,000 downloads in just two weeks. As businessmen they claim to be developing an empire based on innovative visions and pure talent. Jackie Boyz have established two publishing companies, Apartment 4 Publishing and Mall B Publishing, both affiliated with ASCAP, as well as their production company Jackie Boyz Entertainment, LLC and cocunters.
