The Frame
Encyclopedia
The Frame is an upcoming competition series that will air on The CW during the 2011-2012 season. The show revolves around ten teams of two players with various social connections. The teams will all be confined to a small space with a camera monitoring their every move. If they leave the space, or “the frame,” they are out of the game. They will face challenges, head-to-head competitions and eliminations, all while isolated from the outside world, with the viewers controlling who stays and who goes. During Television Critic's Association Press Tour, in August 2011, it was confirmed that the show will air twice a week during eight weeks.

Development

The CW ordered the pilot for the reality series on late September. On May 17, the series was announced as part of the network's schedule on the 2011-2012 television season. The show is expected to air bi-weekly.

Production

The show is based on an Israeli format created by a company called July-august Productions. Shed Media and Armoza International Media are producing, with Nick Emmerson and Jen O’Connell as the executive producers.
