. It is the only mixed secondary school in Ware. The current headmaster is Dennis O'Sullivan. The school pride themselves on accepting students of any ability. In terms of exam results, Chauncy have had increasingly excellent results for 13 years running.

Admissions

The school accept students from any ability and background. Sixth Form requires A*-C grades, but negotiations are permitted. Other than that, Chauncy adheres to the County’s stated policy and criteria on admissions. Copies of the relevant document may be obtained from the Local Authority. The admissions limit for Year 7 in September 2011 is one hundred and sixty.

Leavers

65% of Year 11s in 2011 stayed in Chauncy for 6th form and 27% went onto further education. 53% of year 13s in 2011 went to Univertisty in the UK and 30% went to college.
