History

This garage was opened in 2007 because Waterden Road garage, operating route 25 was closed due to being compulsory purchased for the Olympic Village development.

From May 2008, all buses along with the trainers were moved into the new West Ham Garage (WH), meaning Rainham no longer operated any TfL routes. Rainham Garage carried out all the engineering work until the new West Ham garage was fully built by spring 2009.

TfL routes returned to Rainham on 27 September 2008.
