and was set up to initially operate route 248 which commenced operation on 27 September 2008. Route 372 was added to the operation in March 2009 and more recently in July 2009 route 174 was transferred there from Romford bus garage. This garage is run as a separate subsidiary called 'Thameside'. This is the only garage under this name.

From May 2008, all buses along with the trainers were moved into the new West Ham Garage (WH), meaning Rainham no longer operated any TfL routes. Rainham Garage carried out all the engineering work until the new West Ham garage was fully built by spring 2009.
TfL routes returned to Rainham on 27 September 2008.

History
This garage was opened in 2007 because Waterden Road garage, operating route 25 was closed due to being compulsory purchased for the Olympic Village development.From May 2008, all buses along with the trainers were moved into the new West Ham Garage (WH), meaning Rainham no longer operated any TfL routes. Rainham Garage carried out all the engineering work until the new West Ham garage was fully built by spring 2009.
TfL routes returned to Rainham on 27 September 2008.
