. The LP was released by Hybrid Records in 1985. Cargo Records/Fist Puppet released the album on CD in 1992 featuring extra tracks. The original LP featured a live version of "Apple Schnapps."

In 2010 it was re-issued by Third Man Records

Further influence

Texas Funeral is the name of a band currently playing in Oxford, MS. Original members, Grantley Rushing and Jason Pardun, were heavily inspired by the band Jon Wayne, and, having met in Texas, decided to take the name of their favorite band's first album. They started playing under the name, Texas Funeral, in 1997 in Seattle. The current lineup includes: Rushing on guitar, voice and harmonica; Pardun on bass; Matt Tamke on drums. Past members, all on drums, were Ken Viste, Brent Carpenter, Tyler Simon.
