"Tavers" is also a chateau in the town of La Grande Paroisse that houses specially selected "INSEAD" students and home to the most legendary parties of the school. Tavers remains famous in the history of INSEAD for hosting the summer edition of the welcome party and for events like the Playboy party, the Bolliwood party and many national weeks parties.

Tavers' most famous contribution to the social life of INSEAD is without a doubt the institution of the Thursday Night Dinners. Every thursday night the occupants of Tavers invite a selection of students for what are universally recognized as the most memorable parties of the year. During the dinner several traditions are carried on, and everyone who attends the parties is required to observe the first and most important rule of the chateau: "What happens at Tavers stays at Tavers".

The latest addition to the chateau is a traditional finnish sauna named "Amphi Harkonen" in the back of the house. The sauna was hand-built under the guidance of Mr. Kari Harkonen ('10D) with the participation of the '10D and '11J occupants of Chateau the Tavers.

The general opinion on campus is that, with the addition of the sauna, Tavers has confirmed the undisputed position of party-house and main social hub of INSEAD.
