is forcing it to join Killyman Primary School, work is currently being carried out at Killyman to make the school capable of having about thirty extra pupils. Many parents were opposed to the school being closed as there is a family atmosphere in the school which would be lost when it becomes much bigger. The pupils from Tamnamore will be bussed to Killyman
after the amalgamation.
The School is now closed.
On 27 September 2006 the Southern Education and Library Board announced that consultation would begin on a draft development proposal for the closure of the school on 31 August 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter.
inspection in May 2005 found that the school had a "very positive ethos based on good relationships at all levels", with a relaxed and family atmosphere in the school. A wide range of extra-curricular activities were available and included sports, a chess
club, French lessons and cycling proficiency. Relationships and cross-community links had also been established with other schools in the area. Teaching quality was "always satisfactory and, on occasions, very good".
P5-7 is Mr. Hull
