Syriatel leads the Syrian mobile telecommunication market since 2000, Syriatel believes that the first responsibility is to offer the customers a wide array of high quality products and services, which meet Syrian needs and make there life easier at reasonable prices.
In 2004, the company issued a new common shares to the public, and became a public company in January 1st 2005. It is now owned by more than 6600 shareholders from different nationalities.
the ownership percentages in terms of nationalities are as follow:

  • Saudi 7.34%
  • Emirate 5.69%
  • others 0.34%

Individuals own around 30% of the company, and the rest owned by several companies and business firms; Al-Mashreq investment fund is one of them, who is a member of the board and a parent of Syriatel, this fund has a huge positive contribution to the Syrian society and economy alike, by its role in establishing, building, and running corporations and successful business in several sectors across the country.

Syriatel has established a network of 59 Points Of Service covering all Syrian territory, with a professional Call Center team serves daily over 25.000 customer queries .

Till 30\09\2011 Syriatel has regionally recognized as one of the fastest growing operators, our 2000 skilled employees are proud to serve today over than 6500000 customers, representing 55% share of the actual market.

Also syriatel has 272 international roaming partners in 127 countries.
