History

Swedish was founded on June 1, 1910. In 1980, it absorbed Doctors Hospital and Seattle General Hospital. In 1992, Ballard Community Hospital became part of Swedish. Providence Seattle Medical Center followed in 2000. Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, Washington
