 in the Meon Valley and its 1,300 pupils are drawn from villages and towns from across the area. The college has specialist status in technology and has also achieved Sportsmark, Investors in People and Enhanced Healthy School awards.

History

A secondary school was first built in Swanmore in 1961, becoming a comprehensive school in 1971. During the early 2000s Swanmore School was renamed Swanmore College of Technology after receiving specialist status in technology. The current head teacher, Mrs Hillier, has been in charge of the school for almost twenty years. Notable alumni of the school include actress/tv presenter Amanda Holden

Facilities

Purpose-built, top-of-the-range sports hall, playing fields and facilities which are well used by the pupils and wider community. A new community area with designated entrance to encourage the school to be a part of community life has recently been built.
