2009

On December 2009, Avex held the first large-scale public audition "avex Idol auditions 2010", with around 7000 participants applied.Twelve finalists were selected from the total of approximately 7,000 members in June 12, 2010 Nakano Sun Plaza at the final round, and 24 people compete to the finalists. On 28 December 2009, the audition has started. The audition targets on the recruitment of young singers aged 9 years old to 23 years old.

2010

On 11 February 2010, first screening started and direct examination is performed by document reviews, about 1,000 people advanced to the 2nd round. In the coming months, the audition still continues, up to the finalist level in June 2010.

Avex Trax held the final round of its "Avex Idol Audition 2010" on Saturday, 12 June 2010 at the Nakano Sun Plaza. Of the total 24 finalists, 12 of them were chosen to form a new group called SUPER☆GiRLS. This was the first idol audition held by Avex since the company was founded. Approximately 7,000 participants applied for the audition, and the field was narrowed down to 24 girls in earlier rounds. During the PR event after the audition, the members expressed their dream of becoming successful idols that could even surpass the band AKB48. SUPER☆GiRLS will make their stage debut on August 7 at the 2010 a-nation event.

SUPER☆GiRLS, a 12-member idol group that was formed by Avex in June, held a live performance at Shiodome-AX on Saturday. During the event, it was announced that the group's CD debut has been set for December 22, when they will release their first album "Chouzetsu Shoujo."

The group will hold their first actual concert on 23 October 2010 at Harajuku Astro Hall. After the tickets sold out, they added a second concert at the same venue for November 21. Besides those shows, they will be holding a free mini-live tour sponsored by retail chain Ito Yokado, taking nine stops at Ito Yokado stores and Ario malls around the Japan between November 3 and December 5.

On 12 December 2010, Avex established the idle professional label, IDOL Street in new "iDOL Street" part 1 Elasto-artist album 'Chouzetsu Shoujo' play debut.

2011

Since their debut, SUPER☆GiRLS have released their first single 'Ganbatte Seishun' . Their 1st Single 'Ganbatte Seishun' was originally scheduled for release on March 23, 2011, but was postponed to April 20, 2011 due to the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami.

In June 15 2011, SUPER☆GiRLS released their second single 'MAX! Otomegokoro/Happy Go Lucky! ~Hapi☆Raki de Go!~' . It reached number 5 on the Oricon chart.

On October 5 2011, SUPER☆GiRLS released their third single called 'Joshiryoku Paradise' . It reached number two on the Oricon chart.
