. The current principal is Mr. Keith Bonin. SHS has a Ninth Grade Campus which opened its doors in the 2005-2006 school year, and its principal is Mr. Chuck Hansen. SHS students are offered a variety of Advanced Placement courses as well as opportunities for dual enrollment in classes at McNeese State University in nearby Lake Charles, LA. The SHS mascot is the Golden Tornado.
