An obituary for him is found Bloomfield News, Weekly Newspaper, Volume LXXV, Number 7, Page 1, Thursday, December 4, 1969.

"EDINGTON SERVICES CONDUCTED MONDAY - Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday for Jacob Frank EDINGTON, who died at Bastrop,Louisiana, Saturday. The Rev. John DICKEY officiated at the service in the Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Lyons. Burial was in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Born July 4, 1891, he was the son of Melvin and Stella (MEREDITH) EDINGTON. He was a former resident of Greene County, a veteran of World War I, and was a retired optometrist.

Surviving is one sister, Miss Mary Jane EDINGTON of Indianapolis."
