Streptophytina is formally a subdivision or subphylum (but sometimes used at the division level, where more appropriate would be the use of the term Streptophyta, see below) which contains two classes: Charophyceae

order (Charophytes sensu stricto); and Embryophyceae, which contains the embryophyte
s (land plants, bryophytes, and vascular plants).
