Early life

Steven was born and raised in Liverpool, UK and attended Calderstones School. The youngest of four boys in a mixed heritage family, from a young age he remembers having a strong love of the movies and remembers being able to recite word perfect some of his favourites. At the age of 12 Steven lost his father to a sudden heart attack and found himself to abruptly be the man of the house as his brothers had long since moved out, it was during this time of looking after his mother he found the actor in himself as he would use the rug in the living room of his home as his stage and perform his routine of accents and impersonations to cheer his mum up. In 1996 by chance Steven had the opportunity to audition at Mersey TV to make his acting debut in Brookside.
