Stephen Bishop is an Australian drummer, formerly of Australian band Powderfinger
Powderfinger
Powderfinger was an Australian rock band that formed in Brisbane in 1989. From 1992 until their breakup the band lineup consisted of vocalist Bernard Fanning, guitarists Darren Middleton and Ian Haug, bassist John Collins, and drummer Jon Coghill....

 though he left the band before their rise to prominence because of illness. Later, while working in the UK for two years he played in London based bands. He has since gone on to record and perform with other Brisbane based bands, including Moonjuice, The Haymakers and The Predators (for which he is also lead vocalist).

, he decided not to have anything to do with the band. Bishop was replaced by current drummer Jon Coghill

 who met the band while Bishop was still a member, while Haug took over on lead vocals temporarily until meeting and recruiting Bernard Fanning

The Predators

In March 2005, Powderfinger decided to take some time off. In this downtime Bishop formed a band with Haug and Collins named The Predators which like the other side projects for Powderfinger was signed to the record label Dew Process
