Steinbrenner High School offers many extracurricular opportunities. A few of the extracurricular opportunities are the Steinbrenner Band, Steinbrenner Jazz Band, Steinbrenner Chorus, and the Steinbrenner Football team, to name a few.

Band

In 2009, the Steinbrenner High School Marching Warrior Brigade began their history with "A Tribute to Michael Jackson". They received an overall Superior at District 7 Marching MPA.

In the Steinbrenner Wind Symphony's first appearance at District MPA, they received an overall Superior.

In 2010, the Steinbrenner High School Marching Warrior Brigade's show was called "Oz", a tribute to The Wizard of Oz

In 2011, the Steinbrenner Jazz Band received a rating of Straight Superiors at District Jazz MPA. By one listener, they were called "the best sounding jazz band of the day".

2009

Steinbrenner's football program was started as a JV program because of its first year status. The first four games they played were counted as JV games and they went 3-0-1. After they were an official Varsity team they could not win a single game after that getting blown out by every team they played.

2010

As a second year school, there were low expectations for the Warriors. It started to look that way as the Warriors started out the season on a 3 game losing streak after losing to Gaither, Blake, and Jesuit. The Warriors then decided to change up their Offensive scheme a little bit and it showed great success defeating Bloomingdale High School

With the playoffs out of sight they set a new goal, to set a Hillsborough County record of being the first team to have a 5-5 record in their first full year of varsity ball.  in a very important game to the seniors and the Warrior football team. It was a close game the entire night until the Warriors scored with 9 seconds left and scored a 2-point conversion to win the game making the Warriors 5-5 in their 2010 season by going 5-2 in their last seven games.
