13-7. The Warrior team took off on a three game winning streak defeating Bloomingdale, St. Pete Catholic, and Middleton in a big upset for Steinbrenner's homecoming game. Middleton High School
had beaten Steinbrenner 63-7 the year before. With a record of 3-3 a playoff spot became a possibility for the Warrior football team. That week they played their biggest rival, Strawberry Crest High School
, who the Warriors needed to beat to continue the chance at the playoffs. The Warriors lost 24-25 in the last 30 seconds of the game. With the playoffs out of sight they set a new goal, to set a Hillsborough County record of being the first team to have a 5-5 record in their first full year of varsity ball. The Warriors got off to a bad start after losing to Thomas Richard Robinson High School
making their record 3-5. They needed to win out to reach their 5-5 goal. They traveled to Earl J. Lennard High School
next week and steamrolled them 27-6. The last week of the season they traveled to East Bay High School
in a very important game to the seniors and the Warrior football team. It was a close game the entire night until the Warriors scored with 9 seconds left and scored a 2-point conversion to win the game making the Warriors 5-5 in their 2010 season by going 5-2 in their last seven games.

2-1. In the Regional Finals, the Lady Warriors defeated Barron Collier High School 1-0, to advance to the State Semi-finals. The Semi-Finals resulted in wins for the Lady Warriors (over Harmony High School
1-0) and the Merritt Island High School
Mustangs (over Ponte Vedra High School
2-0). In the State Final, the Lady Warriors defeated Merritt Island 1-0, winning the State Championship.

2009
Steinbrenner's football program was started as a JV program because of its first year status. The first four games they played were counted as JV games and they went 3-0-1. After they were an official Varsity team they could not win a single game after that getting blown out by every team they played.2010
As a second year school, there were low expectations for the Warriors. It started to look that way as the Warriors started out the season on a 3 game losing streak after losing to Gaither, Blake, and Jesuit. The Warriors then decided to change up their Offensive scheme a little bit and it showed great success defeating Bloomingdale High SchoolBloomingdale High School
