The church dates from 1874 and is by the architect Frederick Preedy. It was originally a separate parish, but is now part of a united benefice with St. Mary's Church, Moseley

For both the 10:00am and 6:30pm services at St Mary's they are sung by either the Robed Choir or the St Mary's Singers and on some occasions jointly.

The 3rd Sunday Morning is a Teaching Eucharist.
