Sports Mixture
Encyclopedia
Sports Mixture is a confectionery product manufactured by Maynard's in the UK, formerly by the Lion Confectionery Company. The Lion brand has since been adopted by Tangerine Confectionery Ltd have who manufacture Sports mixture in their original version.

Maynard and Lion are both owned by Cadbury UK, formerly Cadbury Trebor Bassett.

It consists of fruit-flavoured hard gums in the shape of sports equipment such as sailing boats, tennis raquets, rugby balls, cricket stumps, cricket bats, footballs and so on. The gums come in five different colours - red, orange, black, yellow and green. The product used to contain liquorice flavoured pieces, but this has now replaced by blackcurrant. Also the colours are artificial.

Many reviewers have also noted that the current product does not have the same consistency as the original product and that the cult favourite "black one" has changed flavour. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews89776.html
