The name was changed to Dade County School Employees Federal Credit Union to reflect the acceptance of Miami-Dade College employees as members in 1972. In 2000, Miami-Dade County Public Schools
and Miami-Dade College students became eligible for membership, and the credit union again changed its name to reflect this.
Hubert O. Sibley had been the President and CEO of the credit union since 1950 A public elementary school
has been named after him. After 54 years, in 2004, Sibley retired and was succeeded by William Page, who had been vice-president since 1974. The credit union's annual scholarship program for Miami-Dade Public School students is named in Sibley's honor.
